VPSO reports several arrests


LEESVILLE -- The Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office has reported several recent arrests.
According to authorities, 35-year-old Anthony D. Crow, of Leesvile, was arrested Wednesday following a traffic stop.
Crow was seen throwing an object out the window as a patrol unit approached.
The item was found to be illegal narcotics, authorities say.
Crow was booked into the Vernon Parish Jail on littering, obstruction of justice and possession of marijuana (second offense).


-- A Leesville man and woman are accused of trespassing and theft, according to the VPSO.
William C. Schenk, 37, and 29-year-old Robyn C. Owens were found trespassing and loading a truck with various objects.
When deputies investigated further, authorities say Schenk was found to be in possession of illegal narcotics.
Schenk was booked on theft under $500, criminal trespass, possession of drug paraphernalia, no driver's license and possession of methamphetamine. Owens was booked on theft under $500 and criminal trespass.

-- A 48-year-old Pitkin man has been booked on drug possession and open container, in addition to driving infractions.
According to the Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office, Sanders Coker was stopped Monday by the Vernon Parish Narcotics Task Force Criminal Patrol.
Authorities say during the stop, officers found an open container and drug paraphernalia.
Coker was booked on improper lane usage, driving under suspension, possession of drug paraphernalia and open container.
