Irene A. Miller
Memorial services for Irene A. Miller, 82, of Leesville, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 24 at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville.
Irene, the daughter of Manuel and Louisa Aragon-Martin was born October 20, 1931, in Madera, Spain. She passed away Saturday, April 19 in Alexandria.
She is survived by her husband, William A. Miller, of Leesville, and sons, William P. and Nelderine Miller, of New Llano, and Charles N. and Sylvana Miller of Texas City, Texas.

Bettie Jean Phillips
Funeral services celebrating the life of Bettie Jean Phillips will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 26 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Joseph Garner officiating, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home, of Leesville. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Bettie Jean (Gaines) Phillips was born Nov. 26, 1942, in Leesville, to the union of Hannah (Gaines) Knight and Robert Gaines.
Bettie Jean was a life-long resident of Leesville, where she worked as a telephone operator and retail store manager. She was a faithful member of New Willow Baptist Church and Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir, served as an usher and deaconess. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother.
She departed this life on April 20 to be reunited with her father, Robert Gaines, her mother Hannah Knight and her son, Gerry Phillips. She was married to her devoted husband, Ulmer Phillips on July 14, 1962. To this union, six children were born.
She leaves to cherish her memory two brothers; David Gains(Cindy), Mesquite, TX; Hubert Knight, Dallas, TX; two sisters; Joanne Gaines, Dallas, TX; and Mary Gaines Dallas, TX; four sons, Robert Gaines (Denise), Port St. Lucie, FL; Jeff Phillips (Angela), Murphy, TX; Terry Phillips (Maxine), Tampa, FL and Anthony Phillips, Tampa, FL; one daughter, Vickie Phillips-Neal (Wendell), Dallas, TX; 14 grandchildren, Michelle, Melissa, Mike, Shannon, Maxine, Brandon, Justin, Terrence, A.J., Terrell, Olivia, Cique, Tahj and Nickolas; 12 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and host of other relative and friends.

Sussie Hickman
Funeral services for Sussie Hickman, 69, of Leesville, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 26 at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Pastor Williams officiating.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 26 from 11 a.m. until time of service in the chapel.
Sussie, the daughter of Eddis and Eula Maxie Hickman, was born April 8, 1945, in Leesville. She passed away Friday, April 18 in Leesville.
She is survived by her five children.

Michelle Lord
Funeral services for 11-year-old Michelle Lord, of Leesville, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Pastor J. D. Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., and on Friday from 8 a.m. until service time in the chapel.
She passed away April 14 in Leesville.
