Motorcyclist booked on list of charges after brief chase

VERNON PARISH -- A motorcyclist was booked Wednesday after authorities say he was speeding and refused to stop.
According to a news release from Vernon Parish Sheriff Sam Craft, 36-year-old Travis Reynolds, of Leesville, led deputies on a brief chase. Deputies had attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Reynolds.
He apprehended and booked on aggravated flight from an officer, resisting an officer, speeding 67/55, driving with a suspended driver's license, riding a motorcycle in an unsafe manner, improper lane usage, no MVI, failure to register, no insurance and modified exhaust.
Bond was set at $2,567.
Craft said a hold has been placed on Reynolds for out-of-state charges.
