DeRidder men facing weapons charges

BEAUREGARD PARISH -- Two DeRidder men are facing weapons charges following an investigation into a burglary in Ragley.

According to the Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office, 53-year-old Robert Bebee Sr. and 21-year-old Robert Bebee Jr. were both booked last week on additional charges of illegal possession of a stolen firearm and illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon following an investigation into a report of a burglary at a Ragley home.

Authorities said Bebee Jr. was arrested in February in connection with the burglary and for simple escape, and Bebee Sr. was arrested in February as an accessory regarding the escape.

Both were reprocessed under the additional charges and returned to jail.

Bonds on the additional charges were set at $100,000 each.
