BPSO reporting recent arrests

BEAUREGARD PARISH -- The Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office is reporting several recent arrests.

According to Chief Deputy Joe Toler, 32-year-old Paul W. Kennedy, of Sulphur, was arrested April 17 following an investigation into a report of stolen items from an uninhabited residence.

Kennedy was booked on burglary, theft, criminal damage to property, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bond was set at $37,000.

Toler also reports the arrest of 39-year-old Richard Pharris, of Merryville. He was booked April 22 and must serve 90 days for failure to pay child support. He was processed into the parish jail.

Toler said 33-year-old Aaron A. Dupas was arrested April 23 following a traffic stop. Dupas was booked on possession of synthetic marijuana, driving under suspension and reckless operation of a motor vehicle. Bond information is unavailable.
