Longtime Vernon Parish educator recognized in Senate resolution

A longtime Vernon Parish educator was commended in a Senate resolution approved during the 2014 Legislative session in Baton Rouge, which wrapped up Monday.

Dottie Neugebauer was honored in Senate Resolution 184, sponsored by Sen. John Smith, R-Leesville.

The measure says that Neugebauer devoted 44 years of service to education in the state system, 41 of those spent in Vernon Parish.

"...And for 36 of those years, she has served as Director of Special Education for the parish ...," the measure states.

"Through her dedicated and loyal service to the children of Vernon Parish, she has earned the sincere gratitude and respect of the members of the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana," it continues.
