LA Attorney General Office's visit to Fort Polk highlights special consumer protections for military personnel

The following is a news release from Louisiana Attorney General Buddy Caldwell:

FORT POLK -- The Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Section is continuing its efforts to offer Louisiana’s military community and veterans a wealth of consumer tips and information.

A visit to Fort Polk on Wednesday marked the office’s third trip to the Army post near Leesville in less than one year.

Attorney General Buddy Caldwell and his staff toured the Army base and met with post leadership last year after launching a military outreach program aimed at empowering military service members, veterans and their families to take advantage of resources geared to help consumers.

Caldwell’s military outreach team has also visited Barksdale Air Force Base and Belle Chasse Naval Air Station.
